Locate Guernsey to visit Singapore and Hong Kong to promote Guernsey as a destination for relocation
Locate Guernsey’s Director, Jo Stoddart and Relationship Manager, Lily Prus will visit Singapore and Hong Kong in November this year to promote Guernsey as a destination for both personal and professional relocation.
As part of their visit, Jo and Lily will initially travel to Singapore to attend the STEP Asia Conference as part of a Guernsey Finance delegation, taking place from 12th – 13th November. As part of their package as Gold Sponsor of the STEP Asia Conference, Guernsey Finance will have an exhibition stand. The event will be attended by senior intermediaries working in various sectors across Asia, so this will be a fantastic opportunity to promote Guernsey to those advisers with clients who may be considering a change in residency.
Guernsey Finance also arranges additional meetings with local professional intermediaries before and after the event. In addition, the team will also have opportunities to meet with prospective relocators based in Singapore.
Following a week in Singapore, Jo and Lily will then travel to Hong Kong to continue their promotion of the island as a relocation destination. After Jo visited Hong Kong in 2023 as part of the Guernsey Finance delegation for the STEP Conference, it was clear that there was real interest in Guernsey as a relocation destination for British expats as well as those holding BNO visas. This year’s visit will therefore build on this momentum, leveraging the contacts Jo made during her visit, as well as making new connections. Locate Guernsey has also been focussing a proportion of its digital marketing for this year to promote Guernsey within Hong Kong, ahead of the visit.
They will be in Hong Kong the majority of the week of 18th November and will again look to meet with the advisory community to promote the many lifestyle and business benefits of Guernsey, as well as prospective relocators themselves. An invite-only event has also been arranged for the evening of Tuesday 19th November where potential relocators and advisers will be invited to attend a drinks reception to find out more about the island. Jo, Locate Guernsey’s Director, will give a short presentation during the reception.
