Blue Islands trialling Luxembourg service
Direct flights between Jersey and Luxembourg, with Guernsey connections, are being trialled from 14 May.
Blue Islands is trialling a direct Luxembourg service from Jersey, with connections to and from Guernsey, commencing 14 May seeking to provide easier access between these key jurisdictions, specifically for the business community.
Rob Veron, CEO Blue Islands said, “We are excited to announce a trial of direct flights to Luxembourg and we thank our valued customers for the active engagement in supporting this trial. With convenient departure times, significant savings on travel times and avoiding any airport changes and/or transit stays, our direct service enables the business traveller to maximise their valuable time away.”
The four-week trial of direct flights from Jersey to Luxembourg starts 14 May, operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays on alternative weeks and follows the airline’s announcement last week of a new Isle of Man service which commences 23 April.
Rob added, “Support from businesses during the trial combined with the commitment already received will determine if a viable scheduled Luxembourg service can be launched to fully complement our Isle of Man service announced last week. This enhanced connectivity could be a true enabler for industry across these jurisdictions – we are hopeful that this trial will attract sufficient demand to support the viability of a permanent direct service between the islands and Luxembourg.
James Young, Chief Change Officer Crestbridge said, “A regular direct link to Luxembourg is a game-changer for our broader teams to connect without the hassle of flight connections and regular layovers.”
